Terms of Service

Plain language, no fine-print games. These terms explain how we work together — what you can expect from Anchored Canvas Wellness, and what's expected of you.

1. Agreement to these terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the website theanchoredcanvas.com (the "Site") and the coaching services offered by Anchored Canvas Wellness ("we," "us," or "our"). By using the Site, booking a discovery call, or purchasing coaching services, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Site or the services.

2. Who we are

Anchored Canvas Wellness provides nurse life coaching — one-on-one conversations focused on whole-person wellness — based in South Florida. You can reach us any time at [email protected].

3. Coaching is not medical or mental health care

This is the most important section on this page, so it gets its own callout:

Coaching does not diagnose, treat, or cure any medical or mental health condition. Always seek the advice of your physician or another qualified health provider with any questions about a medical or mental health condition, and never disregard professional medical advice or delay seeking it because of something discussed in coaching. If you are experiencing a crisis or emergency, call 911, contact a licensed clinician, or call or text 988 for the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline.

4. Booking, cancellations & rescheduling

• Sessions are scheduled in advance through the Site or by arrangement with your coach.
• You may reschedule or cancel a session at no charge with at least 24 hours' notice.
• Sessions cancelled with less than 24 hours' notice, and missed sessions ("no-shows"), are considered used and are forfeited.
• If we ever need to reschedule on our end, you'll be offered a replacement session at no cost to you.

5. Payments & refunds

Fees for coaching sessions and packages, where applicable, are presented before you purchase, and payment is due in advance unless we agree otherwise in writing. Payments for completed sessions are non-refundable. Prepaid sessions that have not yet been delivered may be refunded or credited at our reasonable discretion, and nothing in these Terms limits any refund rights you may have under applicable law.

6. Your responsibilities

Coaching works when you do. You agree to show up on time, participate honestly, and take responsibility for your own choices and actions. You — not your coach — are responsible for the decisions you make during and after coaching. Coaching outcomes depend on many factors that are personal to you, so we can't and don't guarantee any particular result.

7. Confidentiality

What you share in sessions is treated as private and is not shared with others except as needed to run the business (see our Privacy Policy) or as required by law. Please note that coaching conversations are not legally privileged the way conversations with a therapist, doctor, or attorney can be. We may also disclose information where there is a serious risk of harm to you or someone else, or where the law requires it.

8. Intellectual property

The Site and all materials provided through coaching — including text, worksheets, exercises, graphics, and branding — belong to Anchored Canvas Wellness or its licensors. You're welcome to use them for your own personal, non-commercial purposes, but please don't copy, republish, sell, or distribute them without written permission.

9. Acceptable use of the Site

You agree not to misuse the Site — including attempting to interfere with its operation, accessing it by automated means without permission, uploading malicious code, or using it for any unlawful purpose.

10. Third-party tools & links

The Site uses third-party tools for things like scheduling, payments, and chat, and may link to other websites. Those services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies, and we're not responsible for their content or practices.

11. Disclaimers

The Site and its content are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We don't promise the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.

12. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Anchored Canvas Wellness will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of your use of the Site or the services. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising out of the Site or the services will not exceed the amount you paid us for the services giving rise to the claim in the six months before the claim arose.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Anchored Canvas Wellness from claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of your misuse of the Site, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of another person.

14. Ending the coaching relationship

Either of us may end the coaching relationship at any time. Coaching is a partnership, and if it isn't the right fit, ending it respectfully is always an option. Any refund or credit for undelivered prepaid sessions is handled under Section 5.

15. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute arising out of these Terms or the services will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Florida, and you consent to their jurisdiction.

16. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we'll post the updated version on this page with a new effective date. Your continued use of the Site or the services after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
